The Time Capsule opened in it’s current location in 2003. Rob Yeremian had started selling comics at comic conventions throughout New England from 1987 until 1993 when he opened up his first store in Warwick called Time Capsule Comics. Rob sold the store in 1998 to move to California. After spending sometime there, he returned to Rhode Island and was planning on opening another store but the Internet was really starting to have a huge impact on the buying and selling of collectibles, particularly this little start up site called EBay.
After a few years of only selling on-line, Rob decided he missed having a retail store for people to come shop at so he re-opened in November of 2003. In December of 2010 Rob decided to open up a 2nd store in Seekonk Massachusetts. Jeff Tundis, who had been the very first employee at the original store back in the mid 1990’s was once again brought in to manage the 2nd store.
The original store focused on comic books and toys. Today, we have a much bigger selection of comics and trade paperbacks, still have the toys but we expanded into selling records. We carry a huge selection of 33’s and 45’s in both locations. We now also sell all vintage video games as well. From Atari to Nintendo, Sega Genesis to Xbox, PlayStation to WII, we buy and sell them all. We also carry older sports cards, magic cards and whatever cool items we come across.
